SSL Certificates

Free SSL certificates are available for every website on Webslice Serverless, and can be enabled with one click to have your websites load securely over HTTPS. We recommend enabling SSL on all domains as most browsers will mark your site as insecure and may prevent users from accessing it.

Before enabling SSL, make sure your domain is ready to go, by ensuring it has the Verified label next to it. If it doesn’t click Verify DNS and our systems will try to verify your domain.

Domain Verification Failing?

If you can’t verify your domain or enable SSL you will need to check your domain is configured correctly. Things to check include:

• Your domain is properly configured with the correct DNS records
• DNS changes have fully propagated (this can take up to 48 hours)
• Your domain is active, accessible and resolving

Enabling SSL

You can enable or disable SSL for each domain through the Webslice Console. Go to your website, and then click Domains, from there you can toggle SSL on or off for each domain.

How It Works

Webslice Serverless is integrated with LetsEncrypt, a free and open certificate authority. This integration makes it simple to provision and manage SSL certificates at no additional cost.

SSL certificates are automatically renewed before they expire, so your site remains secure without any manual renewals.
